BAMroll Update: July 23, 2009

The two new additions to the Big Affiliate Marketing blogroll will both be attending Affiliate Summit East. This must-attend event is held in New York City from August 9th to 11th. If you go, you would have the chance to meet these bloggers, and also Share Results Affiliate Manager Maranda Moses, and CEO Nicky Senyard.

Affiliate Marketing BlogBoth of this week’s affiliate marketing bloggers also happened to write about contests and boats in their most recent post. Coincidence? You tell us :)

  • Beautiful British Columbia is written by someone who loves boating, and also affilate marketing. A good example of a unique combination of the two is her most recent post. It’s part of her entry for a yacht party contest — a spin on a music video that’s gotten a lot of hits on youtube lately.
  • Logan Thompson doesn’t share his video with us, and I’m wondering how it compares to aforementioned entry. He may not have had to make one, since he already has a ticket for the Market Leverage party held during the Affiliate Summit.

Many of the other bloggers we’ve featured on the BAMroll will be attending Affiliate Summit East. A good way to find out is to download the OPML file found on our BAMroll page, to get a feed of recent posts from BAMrollers. Those who are attending will surely be mentioning it in coming weeks. And maybe they’ll share their entry videos too!

BAMroll Update: July 16, 2009

The BAMroll has a host of colorful bloggers who are into affiliate marketing. They have varying methods of rising to the top–tips, tricks, and niches. The additions for this week tend toward the trick category, in a black hat/white hat way… Check out their blogs to see why:

  • OffWhiteHat is “Earth’s most trusted off-white-hat affiliate marketing resource.”
  • Slightly Shady SEO says that “Blackhat is back, Baby.”

To find a list of other Black Hat SEO blogs, check out this blog. I wonder if the blogger has considered a BLACKroll?

For a wide spectrum of experts on affiliate marketing, check out the BAMroll for reviews on over 50 blogs on that topic! You can even download an OPML file for your convenience. If you’re on the BAMroll, then feel free to download a bright green badge for your site. If you think you should be on the BAMroll, let us know why :)

BAMroll Update: July 9, 2009

This week’s new additions to the BAMroll are young and restless. Although these blogs have only been around since May, they have both attracted our attention because of their affiliate-marketing related wisdom. Whether you’ve been on the BAMroll for a while or are hip to the scene, grab a badge –they are timeless additions to your site. Now for introductions to the newbies:

  • New World Affiliate is a blog with a vision: to bring standard marketing methods to the realm of the internet and technology. BAMroll Update: Thursday, June 25, 2009

This week, we are adding award-winning blogs to the BAMroll. They were recognized at the a4uawards in June in the category of “Affiliate Marketing Blog of 2009.” We agree with the judging panel that the following blogs are about affiliate marketing in a big way. By ‘big’ we mean it’s worth downloading our OPML file from the BAMroll page so you can stay updated on their insightful and applicable posts…

a4u-award

  • Affiliate $tuff is the Affiliate Marketing Blog of 2009, and what a well-deserved award! This blog manages to be endlessly informative without overwhelming. It’s like an encyclopedia-yearbook hybrid: useful, searchable, entertaining, and with notes from the popular crowd written in the margins. Check out her wonderful glossary.
  • Lee McCoy was highly commended for this award, and again, very well-deserved! Easily absorbed, with a hands-on approach, and very good foresight–such features make it worth your time to read. Social media aficionados will be particularly satisfied with his defense of it’s value to online marketers.

A very sincere congratulations to Kirsty and Lee! There are badges here for you to put on your blogs.

BAMroll Update: June 18, 2009

Have you seen the movie Big Fish? It is directed by Tim Burton, and is about a son telling of his father’s life. As the title of the film suggests, there are tall tales galore–from conjoined twins to circuses to catching really big fish.

Our additions to the BAMroll this week don’t exaggerate their experiences or mislead you, but they do approach affiliate marketing in a way that you’ve never seen before and keep you intrigued just like the storyteller in Big Fish.

  • Can I Make Big Money Online? is the question, and the answer is, yes! This blog’s greatest asset is the relevance of their posts to internet marketers. The posts are about specific case studies, and reviews of trendy products.
  • SEO by the Sea is an in-depth look at all that is related to search engines. The site map here is as vast as the sea, but very navigable, thanks to well-categorized posts in a user-friendly blog design. If you only have time for one new blog this week, month, or year…this is the one.

To keep biting, you can download the OPML file on our BAMroll page.  We also have badges for your blog, if you’re already a BAMroller.

BAMroll Update: June 11, 2009

If this is your first time here, OR if you just happen to be looking for about 50 mini reviews of Big Affiliate Marketing blogs…then check out the BAMroll and let us know what you think!

I present the following worthy additions to our blogroll:

  • PPC Blog is pretty self-explanatory. The very qualified blogger writes about search marketing trends and business, adwords optimization, Baidu and Yahoo search marketing, second-tier PPC strategies, SEO, and social media marketing.
  • Matt’s Creative Advertising Blog is written by Matt, but that’s all we know about who he his. We know what he does though: write about advertising, creatively…and usefully!

May they inspire you to download the OPML file on the BAMroll page, and/or grab a badge.

BAMroll Update: June 4, 2009

***UPDATE: I found this article from a few years ago, comparing John Chow to John Cow. Check it out!***

I hereby declare this Spoof Week. The theme is John Chow, one of the first Big Affiliate Marketing bloggers we featured on the BAMroll. He is an icon in the industry, a gold standard, the Spiderman of the World Wide Web, a veritable hero of professional internet marketers.

The two additions to the BAMroll this week are here because of their associations with these two precious key words– John and Chow. One was inspired by the original, and the other increased his page rank because of him.

  • John Cow, a blog written by Jason Katzenback, has been milking the internet since 2007.  Inspired by a professional internet marketer of his own age–and no doubt, the infamous John Chow–Jason began to do the same. Now he blogs about it, and you can benefit from his experience.
  • Not John Chow is John (not Chow but) Haley. Like John Chow’s blog, this one is written by an internet-based money maker. He just lost his job, so his strategy will become even sharper in his first few months of unemployment.  These ‘miscellaneous ramblings of an average guy’ are distinctly American.

To all: download an OPML file on the BAMroll page– the link is at the top.

To John Cow, the official Not John Chow, and any other BAMrollers who are or aren’t John Chow: we have badges for you!

BAMroll Update: May 21, 2009

This week’s new BAMrollers promise to be wholly useful to affiliate marketers on the path to success. They offer thoughtful and quality content that you can apply immediately to your business–or personal–life. If you’re new to affiliate marketing, or just really like shopping efficiently, then these blogs are worth your time.

  • Nathan Onn writes a blog as an underground internet marketer.  His posts include some promotions that will will generate revenue for himself, no doubt…but also you will find excellent tips on how you can generate revenue with affiliate marketing, niche marketing, and site development.
  • One Stop Internet Marketing is where John Henderson wants to ‘consolidate all of the information available online and put it all in one place.’ I didn’t see anything about the swine flu or birdhouses, so he’s a bit short of his goal… In terms of information about internet marketing though, he’s following through!

As always, you can download the OPML on the Big Affiliate Marketing blogroll page, and download badges on the badge page if you’re on the BAMroll.
